Noise that I couldn't control

Hello,

I had a guest for 2 nights. She was great. The problem is that a random group of people decided at 4 a.m. to drive to our block and play really loud music, honk at each and talk really loud. I called the non-emergency police who never showed up but the group finally left after about 30 minutes. It was a large group of people who I did not know so I wasn't sure if confronting them was a good idea. My guest left in the morning so I did not get any feed back from her but she must have been woken up. I am thinking about offering her a refund for her last night.

I wanted to get input from the community on how to handle it.

Thank you,

Rebecca (Zoe's mom)

@Zoe3 I would talk with your guest and see if indeed her sleep was disturbed.  If so, you might offer her whatever refund you think is appropriate.  If not, well...you're in the clear.  You can also purchase a gift certificate that would go towards a future booking.

If a refund is what you want to do, it is done through the Resolution Center:

Thank you Claire. I followed your advice and am waiting to hear back from my guest. I am pretty new to airbnb. I appreciate the advice.
