Not age, government ID, education and + past reviews can help with some wierd guests

1.  Leaving the window open at below 0c temperatures when away.

2. I don't know what a wet kitchen towel is doing on the desk in the room!! I was not asked so waiting for explanation. The towels are in a drawer so she went rummaging in my drawers to find it!

3.  Decided that it was okay to pull the blinds in the living room all the way up and pull apart the curtains as well.  My building is right next to street ( old planning so I keep sheer curtains at least on if the blinds are open). First morning, I am almost blinded by all the light. Ok, I don't sweat the small stuff. Yesterday, I leave home about 4.30pm. I close blinds and curtains, it will be dark soon anyway. I come back about 6.30pm, they are open again so I wait for her to close them. I finally close them at 8pm because I can't stand being watched from the street. So today morning she did not touch them.

4. Who uses another's face towel and body scrub? (Not the first time though with this one). I forgot to remove them.

5.  Has re-arranged my rules pinned on the wall in the room and pinned a restaurant brochure over them. I don't have many rules or particularly strict ones so not sure why she is doing that.

Fortunately the last night! Have different booking tomorrow.

Hello Carol --

I am not able to see if you have house rules on your listing, but I would add them to your house rules.  For example:

1) The sheer curtains are delicate and should not be opened (keep closed).

2) Also provide a hamper and place it in a very obvious place if you have not already done so, and put in your house rules.  "Please place soiled or dirty linens in the hamper".

3) Go to YOUR RESERVATIONS on the app or Airbnb website and tap on the Reservation Requirements, the find under where it reads Verified ID, then you need to check the Require guests to go through verification box.

Hopefully this will eliminate some of the hazard you are experiencing.  But remember, let it be known what you will and will not stand for in a polite and reasonable manner with guest that try to take advantage of your kindness.

Happy hosting.

Thank you, Linda for these suggestions. I have rules but I guess it is not possible to capture everything.
