I see many hosts recently complaing about payouts not received, including myself: 1 payout from march is pending.
I am rather sure releasing/transferring payouts is an automated proces (no human intervention).
This week i changed a reservation (extending it) in the evening, and after the guest had accepted it, the payout message appeared within 1 hour.
I guess nobody is sitting in the Airbnb financial department at 22:00 o'clock to process my payout.
It is my belief the missing or pending payouts are marked somehow as "intervention needed".
Airbnb CS can not do much more than reroute complaints to the financial department. And then it stops.
Nobody will reply again, the ticket is still open (in my case 1,5 month) and payout is never released.
You end up in a black hole !
