I recently started hosting AirBnb and things have been going great so far. Upon Airbnb's recommendations, I opted for the book instantly option for my listing. One day I received a request from a guest that had really low reviews, both stating that the guest had broken their house rules and left their space dirty--more than once. One host even said that there was legal action taken against their space because of what this guest did to their space. After reading these very detailed reviews, I decided to cancel this reservation (within an hour of the request/booking) because I did not want a guest to abuse my space. This cancellation, however, affected my host stats and it says it might affect my booking or risk of taking down my listing. This was the only guest I've ever declined but my stats are penalized because of it. Does anyone know what steps I can take to reverse this penalty? Or any airbnb person I can contact to speak further about this?
Thank you so much in advance.
