Hi everybody.
I'm fairly new (since Nov.) and I noticed right off the bat that there were always several people (5 up to 9) watching my place for last minute stays. When I lowered the price to the ridiculous low price (suggestions on the calendar) I got a last minute request immediately, late at night for the very next day. They had no reviews even though they had been a member for a long time – I did not feel comfortable and so I declined it and raised my prices a little. I felt bad because it was December and it was freezing cold out but I got over it because I got a request a few days after that.
Anyway what are all these people doing watching my place with no requests being made. I think this is weird. What kind of travelers just watch places? For 2 more hours my place is the only one left for my 5 day minimum stay is available so what are the 9 people who are "eyeing" my place looking for? Don’t they have better things to do?
Is it other hosts who are watching my place? Does anybody have watchers but no requests like me?
Mary Ann
Hello
I didn't know you could see who is 'watching' your listing.
How do you do this?
Thanks Helen
@Helen3 I think the original poster is confused (perhaps by the wish list?). As far as I know, Airbnb protects the privacy of users and does not show who has been eyeing your listing.
I suppose you can see only the number of views but not who is watching exactly. However I also check sometimes local offers to see offers in neighborhood.
One more possible reason - first picture of your offer doesn´t show the interior so people are probably curious and check how does it look inside.
