Property Damage (Guest has offered to compensate)

Hi there,

A recent guest smashed a window with a wine bottle. The repair cost significantly exceeded the security deposit. The guest has admitted it was his fault and offered to pay for the repairs in full, but I don't know how I can process his payment. I can't type my PayPal details into a message to him (Airbnb blocks this). Is there some way that Airbnb can effect that transfer? Help!

Hi Robert, 

You can effectuate payment from your guest via the resolution center. From the drop down menu one can select the option to request compensation for damages. Enter in the amount you require and submit the request to your guest here. If your guest ignores or declines this request, you can ask Airbnb to get involved after three days at which time they will mediate between the parties.
