Request for early departure and "holding days ahead"

I have a guest wanting to depart 9 days early (due to a change in his business itinerary). He will be back in June and has asked that I give him those 9 days free as a sort of swap for the 9 days early departure.

This has only be explained to me 2 days prior to his departure and most likely to him as well by his company. What should I do in this instance? I feel like I may not be able to rent out the 9 days ahead on such short notice.

Thanks,

MJ

Simply ask your guest to cancel through the site and he will get refunded according to your cancellation policy.  Tell him that if you are able to relet, you will offer a larger refund and a special offer if he decides to rebook in the future.

Business is business - and that goes for both parties.

Agree with the above.

Absolutely agree with Marit Anne. If he's on business, he might aslo get refunds from his company for the lodging. This is why we use this site, to get this business straight, for hosters and travellers. Business is business.
