Requesting An AirBnb Update re: Cleaning Fees

I've seen a few posts related to the cleaning fee but wanted to inquire and ask if any of you hosts have actually requested an update from AirBnb for their App?

The "cleaning fee" is a per trip fee currently, and is not adjustable other than amount.  This makes me, as a host, inclined to either a.) not offer long term stays or b.) not offer any kind of discount at all for week long or month long stays, or c.) raise the cleaning fee price that I set and only offer long term stays (not practical for me).

Do you have another work around?  I see many folks don't have a cleaning fee but that's not an option for me as I own another business and do not have time/energy to do all the cleaning here myself.

I'd love to see AirBnb update their app so that it is adjustable per day/week/month/trip to give hosts this choice in their listing settings.  If you agree with this will you request that they update their app as soon as possible?

Your feedback would also be appreciated.

I would love to have an adjustable cleaning fee! I would charge less for 1-night stays and more for longer stays. It should be adjustable per length of stay or per night instead of flat rate.

I opt for b.) not offer any kind of discount at all for week long or month long stays

beause we do the cleaning and linens/towels change 1x/week

Why do you need to have a higher cleaning fee for longer stays? Because it is a bigger mess? Unless you have 100 percent occupancy at all times, longer stays also give you more continues income. Also, my short stay guests made a bigger mess than long term ones plenty of times. Or is it because you want to clean during the stay? You can just not do that or require it in the listing as an extra service.

Also, if you do need to have higher cleaning fee (your option C), why can you no longer offer short term stays? If because it becomes too expensive for guests, it is for them to decide.

Sorry, I am failing to see what the unmet need is
