Resolution Centre

Dear all,

 

I have opened a claim on the resolution centre due to damages a guest left (broken bed). The set deposit is 250 EUR but I quoted the price of the bed 800 EUR. The host has not yet responded and airbnb has contacted me to ask whether I wished airbnd to get involved. Now the way I understand it is that if they get involved it is up to them to settle the dispute. Also, what can be the outcome of the above scenario? I would appreciate advice, guidance and experiences. Should I click 'ask for money' on the resolution centre? Should I try contacting the guest again? Should I reduce the amount claimed? Should I wait for the guest to respond, if they respond?

Unfortunately, my experience is that it does not matter what you do as you will not be able to recover the said amount. It looks like your guest will not reply and if you get Airbnb involved the 'resolution centre' will just try to fob you off and then they will close the case.

 

I dont know of anyone who had positive experience with  'resolution centre'
