Resuming short stays in Spain

Hola a todos!

Just wanted to ask if there are other hosts in Spain that are thinking of resuming short stay rentals. Or if you have been renting during this whole period is it still worth it as opposed to just renting out your property long term?

thanks!

No. Definitely not.

We just lengthened our winter minimum stay from 3 to 5 nights. It helps weed out the price pirates. In summer, we're 7 days minimum. This makes us more visible to family holidaymakers, which is who we went to attract, rather than weekend party groups.

We're also raising our prices, particularly in the off season, in an attempt to attract a better quality of guest, something that's seriously declined in the past few years.

Hi Elaine, perhaps I wasn’t clear enough, my property has been off the market during this whole period. And I was curious if it is worth it to put it back out there. I’d imagine prices went down across the market and if it is just the unnecessary hassle then why bother when I can rent the place out long term

definitely agree with you about length of stay though 🙂
