It's Friday, I got the usual notification at 8.45am that Monday's guest, David, had left a review.
I read it. - Happy & relieved!
I checked my review of him on his profile, - It was blank! My review had not appeared. Nor any others. (1st time user, possibly stayed in airbnbs after mine, but perhaps their reviews not done yet, who knows?)
- I've messaged CS, about getting my review of him on his profile - he was a perfect guest - so deserves an excellent 1st review as a reward & to help his future bookings!
- Got transferred to a superhost "Community Expert" in Texas, Kyoko, who said it was probably a glitch & s/he would do some digging.
- New Airbnb message: Was my problem resolved? - NOT YET! Have clicked the need to transfer to someone else button.
SO - everybody, when you get your reviews, check that YOURS has appeared on your guest's profile. And chivvy CS if not!

No, sorry. I don’t see a review. In fact, I tried several times and was only able to get his profile to load once so there may just be a general delay, it could take effect later today.
I had a look and, no, I can't see your review for David, sadly. Do hope it shows up eventually.
FYI, just checked on a guest who did a review for us today, and I can see that ours is showing on his profile.
@Patricia55 Yep, I checked 2 other reviews from today & one from yesterday - & mine are showing up on my guests' profiles. Just this one glitch with David's. CS say it IS there.... but probably only checked my list of reviews written - where I CAN see it... just is not appearing on the guest's profile. - Eventually, the CS lady DID say she'd pass to technical support.... so into that big black hole, I guess.....?
EUREKA! - It's finally appeared,over 12 hours after his review appeared on my profile. Ours is not to reason why........
@Helen350 I once had a 3 day lag in my review appearing. Now I try not to sweat the small stuff where Airbnb is concerned 🙂
@Sarah977 Fair point, - I guess because the chap was a new user, on a multi-day trip & I was his 1st host, I wanted him to have the benefit of the review, to reassure the next (& future) hosts. Especially as he had no photo/biography!
All's well that ends well, Who knows whether the tech dept jiggled or whether it fixed itself? Took half a day to get my point across to CS.................. Of course!
Had just wondered whether this was 'a thing'..... Don't know why I bother.... didn't effect me just guest.... & I rather think he was the sort not to care about gold stars & 'brownie points', as we say here!
@Helen350 Only half a day to get the point across that your review hadn't appeared on the correct day? You must have had a really savvy rep 🙂
I also try to think of being considerate re reviews for guests- I don't mean saying they were great if they weren't. I mean that I actually pay some attention to their past reviews if they have some, and if they were good guests, I try to mention something about them that no other host did. If all the previous hosts said they left the place super clean, I try to touch on something no one mentioned, like that they were great communicators, or had a wonderful sense of humor.
