Hello, this is my third season on airbnb. We're only booked in the summer for people visiting Yellowstone Park. Anyway, has anyone ever added information after leaving a review for a guest? I left a 5 star review, which I always do unless something is really bad for a guest only to look closer (like in fridge and bookshelf) to see they had literally taken everything available. I mention in my house rules that if you start a book we have available in your room, you are welcome to take it with you. I also have a few snacks, water, and fruit in a small fridge available for guests. Most guests in my experience don't take anything as they have their own snacks and I provide a full breakfast. After leaving this particular guest a 5 star, I realized what they had done. I would like to somehow warn other hosts. Just asking here what other hosts would do.
I don't think thats a particularly bad thing, you did leave it for them and they used it. If you don't want people to take it, don't leave it.
If this is the 1st time in 3 yrs, you've been very lucky, nearly every guest uses everything we leave for them. We don't mind as its built into the rental cost.
I have left negative reviews of guests, but for things more serious than the above.
You have a point. I've just decided to leave less out. What I had out would have more than lasted the whole season last year. Some people just have a problem taking things. I'm still at a loss on how she was going to fly home with all those books lol!!
