Seeking Information & Advice About Airbnb Plus

I've been offered the opportunity to upgrade one of my listings to Airbnb Plus, and the photography is free. I'm very interested in any feedback about Airbnb Plus. I don't even really know what it is, or if it's a good thing. I've been told that I must use Airbnb's photography or my listing won't be considered. I'm a professional photographer and really like the photos I took, but of course I'm keen to see what Airbnb's photographer comes up with too. Other than this I don't really know anything about Airbnb Plus, including whether it's offered to everyone, or hand-picked listings.

@Katie---Sean0, it looks good, and when I first heard about it I wanted to get one of my listings in.

After reading these, I wasn't so excited about it anymore - sounds like you lose a lot of control over your listings.  And it doesn't seem to generate more bookings.

Somewhere there was a link you could use to put your place up for consideration in the program, but I don't know where it's gone.

@Ann72 – I'm right with you on all points. After creating this post a couple of days ago, I searched the community here (should have done that first) and found the first thread you kindly linked above. Everything I wanted answered is there -- I will lose control over not only my photographs, but also my listing details. I love my photos, if I say so myself. And my listing details are carefully written to make sure anybody booking a 30+ day stay on our property knows what to expect. 

So today I'm going to think about whether I just cancel the free photographer, or see what they come up with and then decide. The problem is I can't get speak to anyone from Airbnb Plus support, I've asked a couple of times. All I want to know from them directly is whether should I proceed with Thursday's photo shoot, they will go ahead and take over my listing, or if I get to preview the photos first and then decide whether to proceed. If it's the latter I'll give it a go, but the former and I'm out. 

There's also the simple fact that the listing Airbnb has invited is booked solid until August, so I'm obviously doing something right already. I just liked the idea of being "featured" and bumped higher in results.
