Smart Pricing...is it as smart as I hope?

Hi, I recently turned on "smart pricing" and my base price is set at $110 per night.

If someone books out beyond 4 months they will see my base price... OK, I get that.

But if someone searches for a listing under $100 per night for December in my community I don't come up at all because my base price is too high. Is there any way for the search engine to pull my smart price instead--which is currently $75?

Basically, if guests are shopping by price they won't know I'm here or that my prices have dropped unless they search for my listing specifically and check out my calendar...

Does anyone out there have a solution? Am I doing something wrong?
