Special Offer Pricing - Why is the guest offered the original price?

Hi

Normally I have no issues with Airbnb and found everything to be good for the past 5 years.

However yesterday i offered a Special Offer of $570 to a guest for 10 days however what AIRbnb have advised the guest is -

Special offer sent to Andrew
Andrew has 24 hours to book. You can still accept or pre-approve requests for these dates.
Dates
Mar 10-20
Guests
5
Your guest will pay
$656.52
You will earn
$550.34

I now no longer can find any way to raise this directly with Airbnb - they use to provide contact details if you had an unresolved issue.

My question is - why is Airbnb charging my Guest $656.52? The Airbnb fee should be around $19 ony for this booking. (The original advertised price for this booking was around $700).

Much appreciate any advice / suggestions. Meanwhile I have lost this booking as the guest was looking for an offer of around $550.

regards

Nury

@Nury4  Is Airbnb picking up the charge for extra guests?

On a comical note, this line caught my eye: "Guests are expected to relax and totally enjoy themselves." Do they have a choice in the matter? Suppose they don't want to. 😄

Hi Fred, yes it seems that Airbnb will make over $100 from the booking.
