Special Offer is more on potential guests side than what I posted as the special offer.

I sent a guest a special offer and they said the special offer shows up as a higher amount than what I sent.  What is airbnb adding into my special offer? Damage deposit? Does airbnb charge the guest a fee?

Guest is also asking about sending part of the funds now and part closer to check-in.  I normally have airbnb collect the whole amount up front.  Suggestions? Thoughts? Can you change this setting on a case by case basis?

Yes, Airbnb adds a fee...something like 12% and I have heard that sometimes it is even more than that.

I would not change payment terms for any guests, even if it was possible (which I don't think it is).
