Any reservation of over a month long is automatically split into monthly payments by Airbnb. Guest pays only for the first month when they book, then pays for each following month to Airbnb a few days before the start of following month, and host gets paid the first payment when guest arrives, then next payment at the start of the following month. You don't have to do anything to set payments up like this -- all reservations over a month automatically get set up to be paid this way. Otherwise, think about it, how likely is it that a guest who books to stay at a place for a year, would be willing or able to pay for the entire year's rent at the time of booking? (Some guests do book a year stay...not many but it can be done...)
