Superhost $100 Travel Credit

The travel credit that superhosts receive after four consecutive quarters of holding the status is worth $100. 

However, when this is conveyed to GBP, it’s worth only £60. 

Today’s exchange rate is 1 USD = 0.73 GBP

 

This means the credit should convert to £73. 

Why is the credit converted at a fixed (rip-off) rate instead of using the prevailing exchange rate?

Maybe it's the "currency basket" that my old employer used, @James49 ? I remember I always lost out. The company did fine...
