TAXES 2017

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the 2017 taxes and I am very confused.

in 2017, my airbnb gross earnings were lower than $20,000 (My property is located in Florida, Miami-dade county) and i do not know if airbnb will report my total earning to the IRS under my name. Therefoe, should I report this income and pay taxes or just leave it like that and do not do anaything about it? There will be any problems in the future with the IRS?. On the other hand, I see that there is an amount of Occupancy taxes that airbnb has supposed to collect on my behalf, so can I use that on my favour?

Thanks!

@Julio37 Regardless of whether Airbnb sends you a 1099, you are REQUIRED to declare all income earned to the IRS and pay the applicable taxes on it.

Does you record somewhere on the website or do we have to go into a bank records?

@Bob62. You can find your 2017 earnings in your Transaction History.  On a laptop or PC, go to your Transaction History and then click on the Earnings Summary link.  All the info you need to file your taxes are there.
