Tax season

Hello - I filled out a 1099 before I started hosting. This was in 2016. I am now wondering if I should receive an income 1099 doc from Airbnb for all my earnings. Is there a place I can download them or when I file do I just put it down as another income? I am not sure how it works. Please help.

It is definitely income and you will need to talk to a tax professional about how to add it as a part of your taxes.

@Matthew154  You'll definitely want to consult a tax professional to ensure everything is legit, but from my experience, I use Schedule E to show my income and applicable expenses for my rental.  Even though Airbnb will [likely] not provide you with a 1099, you absolutely still need to claim the earnings from Airbnb as income on your taxes.
