I rent my Airbnb property intermitently, so I have a house keeper who charges by the hour, but only comes when I need her and not on a regular schedule.  How much should I tip her?

There are numerous things I do for guests without requesting payment. I'll offer to drop them off or pick them up at the train station without charging extra. I drove a family to the beach 12 miles. They enjoyed the beach for 4 hours and so did I! Most of them appreciate it, but have not offered a tip. How can I convey to them, that I would appreciate a tip before they leave. At least to cover the gas! When I stay at a hotel, I usually leave a tip upon checking out just out of courtesy. How about a tip jar?!? It's so tacky!
