Hello everyone,

As hosting is slowly starting to pick up again, hosts are preparing their homes for receiving guests or perhaps have already received guests. Of course, the most important thing is for everyone to stay safe and well.

Having said the above, most of us probably receive enquiries from guests from time to time via the messaging system or (if safely possible) in person. 

What are the most common questions your guests ask you and how do you answer them? 

It would be great to hear your tips and experiences on this.

Re: asking for discounts, we did have a family ask if we give discounts to service members. Our answer was no, since we pride ourselves on offering an excellent value for families (and are in fact the least expensive Airbnb stay in the area for 4 people). But because I saw they had all excellent reviews I said we'd refund the cleaning fee (only $40 US) if they left the condo in good condition. They were happy with that.

Question we get most often now is "Are the pools open?", even though it's noted a few times in the listing that, due to the corona virus, they currently are not.  M.E.
