Anyone else had travel agents approach them about their Airbnb listing?

Hello Everyone,

I have recently been contacted by 2/3 different travel agents in my city. I wanted to know if anyone else have seen such requests or profiles and if so is it permitted to entertain such requests? In my understanding 3rd party vendors are not allowed on airbnb... Shouldn't this be against the policy and these profiles be blocked?

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Mathieu and Kunj

I would also like to tell you about In summer, everyone tries to go on vacation to southern destinations on Friday-Saturday and around the first and the 15th. These are also the days they usually drive back. If you go on Wednesday the 20th, for example, it will be much quieter. If you go on a day when there are few passengers, you will likely be alone or with someone in the compartment, and the train will not be packed. This is the most comfortable way to travel. But the most comfortable is of course, to use db fahrplan.

I am also a travel agent that also works with a charity granting travel wishes for mothers with stage 4 cancer. The mothers are not meant to see the prices or do any of the work. Why would a charity grant a very sick woman going through cancer treatment a wish, and then leave her to book it herself? That would be a disgusting move on a charity's part. We help them plan every detail they desire so it is a true wish and there is no stress added. Many of the moms want an Airbnb, so even if the charity booked it without a specialist in the travel industry involved, it would still be third party.

@Keisha57  There are business accounts where employers can book for their employees and I would think your work would qualify for that category even though it isn't work-related.

The issue for hosts regarding third party bookings is that the actual guest has not read the listing, the house rules, nor communicated with the host, so they can arrive expecting things that weren't offered, and being ignorant of a host's rules. And if there are problems, such as the guest causing damages, or demanding things the host doesn't provide in the first  place, Airbnb will not support the host on a third party booking.

hi @Keisha57

I would love to be on your roster/ list of airbnb units for your clients. How do I go about that? The unit is based in Nashville, TN. Thank you!

There are many excuses for making third-party bookings. I don’t accept any of them.

If someone shows up here who is not the person who booked they don’t get in.

This is my home and I have a right to know who is going to be staying here, who is going to be responsible for damages, and who will be writing the review.
