UK Buildings and home contents insurance providers

Hi Rachel - try Admiral - you need to phone them and ask about their host insurance. It is not available online.

Has anyone come across anyone in the UK who offers home insurance if youre renting for more than 90 days as i believe thats all Admiral covers you for?

I've had a real run-around trying to find a provider who will cover me as an Airbnb host. The Co-op was my insurer but price went up by 25%. They have no problem with hosting so worth a try. They referred me to a broker, Miles Smith. Price slightly cheaper and they are OK with hosting, though no cover for guests's things or damage by guests. It's a minefield! I also tried Admiral as suggetsed above but they won't provide cover for hosting and neither will any of the major insurers.

Thanks for that Jeff. I saw their ad online but insuring a b&b as such is way more expensive than insuring a house with paying guests staying sometimes.

Hi

I'm just looking at Renewing my Building and contents insurance but when I said I was going to let Airbnb guests stay  they said I needed specialist insurance, with Gallagers insurance the quote us £370 

Can anyone recommend a broker???
