Unaccompanied minors left on their own

Hi, I run a small cottage in Fremantle Western Australia. My current guest  (here for 2 nights) decided he would go out on his own & has left his 2 children (10 & 12) on their own in our cottage. Whilst I have no doubt they will be fine watching films on their computer I am not comfortable with them being on their own & feel like I have to be around in case something happens. I am also not sure where I would stand if they hurt themselves from an insurance point of view. I would welcome  ideas/ points of view from other hosts on how to deal with this.

@Jennifer2266 I think the silence is your answer. I want to say mind your own business but that would be rude. This was posted 19 hours ago so I assume everything turned out OK? In most places in the world at this age kids walk to school alone, come back, make their own dinner, do their own homework. May also do some chores or go to their afterschool activities. Wait, my own kids do that actually! Those kids are probably far more safe in your cottage in front of their laptops and they are getting in the car and going somewhere anyway.
