Vancouver starts regulation on Shortterm rental, but How about the long-term rental(30 days longer)?

Hi

The news:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/vancouver-s-short-term-rental-bylaws-take-effect-apri...

Will the city regulate any rental for longer than 30 days in Airbnb?

Do I need a business license if my listing is for 30 days and longer?

Thanks, Li

I found from city's page that "Long-term rentals are allowed in all residential dwelling units (or a room within one) if you have a residential rental property business licence."

Today, I also posted a question to email "CS Licence Office <licenceoffice@vancouver.ca>" to ask if long-term host who accommodating less than 2 guests needs a license or not.

Hi Li, did you get the licence or did you find a work around?

We were told that if you rented your place longer than 30 days, your information would not be shared with the city of Vancouver.  Just received an email that it was..  After I called Airbnb, they confirmed that they are sharing all information with the city regardless of wether it is for 30 days or shorter.  This is deceitful!
