Waiting to Regain Superhost Status for 2 Years following ONE Cancellation. What is happening?

I'll start off by stating what we did wrong, just to keep this totally transparent.

When my partner and I began our Airbnb project, all we had to work with was our backyard and a vintage camper. We rented the camper, which was far from perfect (but very cute) without hook-ups. We made this abundantly clear on the listing, and provided unlimited access to a full indoor bathroom/living room/kitchen as a shared space. Despite receiving a number of rave reviews, and only charging $25-30 a night, it was a horrible mistake.

A handful of people (three, to be exact) who were clearly confused by the listing and in some cases gave utterly conflicting reviews (3, 4, and 5 stars on the categories but an overall 2-star review -- awesome) utterly wrecked my potential for superhost status for TWO YEARS.  Additionally, during the move from our previous home to the farm, someone booked the camper for a date AFTER the move was to take place and the camper was to be 30 miles away, and I didn't realize until it was too late -- had to cancel last minute.

Since first listing that camper at properties we ourselves were renting, we have bought a farm and have invested thousands in building a farm stay out of our guest house and transforming a garden shed into a micro-cottage. Unfortunately, we left the camper listing up for a whole year while we were getting these listings in order. That decision left us with one 3-star review hit last December, despite our other rentals turning into a runaway success.

Time forgives all, right?
You would think.

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

It just means that you (and all of us) will be notified on or about Jan 14 whether we have superhost status @Maureen263. We are all pending right now. No worries.

Looks like you are going to get it once the pending period is over. There is a pending period since guests have 14 days after they checkout to leave a review. If you aren't expecting any more reviews from guests that checked out in December then your stats stand as they are.
