What is the best way to manage custom booking settings?

The platform seems to have multiple methods of achieving similar functions with regards to customising booking conditions during certain calendar periods.

 

For example, we recently wanted to trail a four day minimum during May, so we added a 'custom trip length' under Listings -> Pricing and Availability -> Trip Length for this period. However we hadn't realised we also had a 'Rule Set' defined in Calendar - > Rule Sets for the month of May, that included a three day minimum booking and we only noticed after getting two bookings, each for three days, and investigating why the four day minimum wasn't working. The 'Rule Set' trip length obviously took precedence over the 'Custom Trip Length'

 

Does anyone know if there is a way to look at all of the customised booking details in one single place? Does anyone have a good system they use to keep on top of custom settings and booking rules?

 

Each method seems to have a downside - for instance with 'Rule Sets' you can only view the rule set when you have selected a date that the rule set has been applied to, there doesnt seem to be a global view to look at all of your rule-sets, and what date ranges they are active on. 

 

We like trying to tweak variables to see how to maximise revenue while minimising overhead, but it can get messy very quickly when changing settings so often!

Rulesets override indeed other custom settings. If you use ruleset, you do not need the "normal" feature to customize settings. In the multicalender you can set different colors to rulesets, all rulesets are displayed in a (colored) view for the dates they are active on.
