What types of door locks have you found most useful?

When it comes to home security, this CC has many different suggestions to unlock the best methods!

Dependant on your property type,  there are different lock varieties to consider. Perhaps you have a lock that kicks into action, automatically locking as soon as you close the door, or perhaps yours is more a manual affair. Do you brandish a set of keys, or a set of PIN's and passwords? How about a retinal scan?
