Where does the money go after you click the donate to BLM link atop Airbnb?
Kailee Scales (BLM managing director) had no answers to simIlar questions when supporters repeatedly asked her on Monday’s ask-me-anything Q/A session:

So, after learning the BLM PAC was terminated last year (reported zero activity since its inception in Dec ‘15) and can’t actually cash any checks issued by the democrat super PAC (where donors actually sent donations), and after hearing BLM’s director/ professional fund raiser can’t, or won’t, disclose how donations are being used, tracked, or reconciled, donors might understandably demand their money back upon realizing they may have been defrauded. There’s just one problem; as per actblue terms and conditions, donors can’t do that:
*Re-designation of Contributions
In the event that a campaign or committee (a) fails for 60 days to cash a check from ActBlue which includes your contribution (after ActBlue makes repeated attempts to work with the campaign to ensure all checks are cashed), or (b) affirmatively refuses a contribution earmarked through ActBlue, your contribution will be re-designated as a contribution to ActBlue. Contributions to social welfare organizations which are similarly not cashed or affirmatively refused will be kept by ActBlue and used generally to support its social welfare activities. Contributions to charitable organizations which are not cashed or affirmatively refused will go to ActBlue Charities.
*Refund policy
ActBlue does everything we can to accommodate requests for refunds. We do our best to honor refunds requested for reasons such as input error, when a contributor accidentally donates twice or enters the wrong donation amount. ActBlue will not consider refunds for other reasons such as a change in political or personal opinion or the cancellation of an event. ActBlue reserves the right to refuse a refund request for these or other reasons.
Translation: “Thanks for the cash, it’s ours now, we will do whatever we want with it, and you can’t do a thing about it!”
They knew they could tell us to our faces “we are going to defraud you now” and that most of us would either be too apathetic, too comfortable, or simply unable to overcome cognitive dissonance long enough to ask any questions.
Why are such questionable and vague charitable methods being pushed so hard by so many big name companies and celebrities?
If it’s not about racial equality, what is it really about?
