Why did the review for a first time guest get removed when he snuck a female guest (sex worker?)?

I am in total dis-belief.  I left the review below for a person who after I confirmed his reservation for ONE person, let in a female for the 2 night stay.  She arrived by her own means each night very late and the next night was there for only a few hours.    First night came  in as a blond, left as a brunette the next day.  I even messaged AirBnb on twitter the first night in fear for my safety in my separate living area--no one responded!       I won't provide other distasteful details of evidence found when cleaning, but as you can see she went outside to smoke on the property of the moring in a  very slip like negligée (There were several other house rules broken, hair dyes, and besides the fact prostituion is illegal in this state, city fireworks ordinance, etc.)  I cringe when I think of the neighbors with families seeing this occur.

I also filed a resolution for the extra guest fee.  According to AirBnb, they could never reach the guest after I followed up several weeks later.

I cannot for the life of me see where I would have violoated any rules.  Meanwhile, I've been raked over the coals in several revenge like review over stuff that is clearly disclosed in my listing.  In fact, one was down right malicious and intentional due to my refusal to provide an invalid partial refund request per AirBnb guest refund policies.  Btw, I should also mentioned that AirBnb's terms of service states that you cannot post false information on their web site, but they allow guests to do it hosts such as myself.

Not I see my review is gone and he has 5 stars!!  Would other hosts want this to happen to them?

----- REVIEW LEFT-----

When xxxxxs booked, I sent a message back confirming the dates for 2 nights and that the reservation was for one adult.  On the first night, approximately 9:30pm, a female arrived separately and entered my home with xxxxxx.  The 2nd ,night,  she entered my home around midnight.  Around 1:53am, motion detectors also picked up the female going outside dressed only in a short slip or negligée with xxxxxx for smoking.  This is not appropriate for a family neighborhood, along with if it was a paid date that is also breaking the law.  Also, my house rules clearly state no unregistered guests along with the reservation did not reflect the extra guest—even after I confirmed this was for one adult.  The claim was ignored for the extra guest fee.

 It should also be noted that the smoking policy states no smoking on property, the first night it appears it was followed.  However, the steps on the property were also used to sit down and smoke.

Also on the 2nd night, fireworks were set off at approximately 11:29pm across the street near the curb.  Not only does this break a city ordinance, being a family neighborhood, this does not show any respect for my neighbors.

The last issue was under the category of cleaning.  The bathroom rules states that no hair dyes are to be used and it is clearly posted in the bathroom.  Instead, there was a black dye build up in one area on the tub wall.  Plus, the black dye was sprayed and ran down the shower curtain.  I was able to clean them, but it required significant extra cleaning to remove the dye.  Otherwise, the space itself was in good shape after checkout.

@Elizabeth10

It probably was removed because the guest asked for it. As we all know Airbnb CS sides with guests and not with hosts.

But this attitude is wrong and it's just a matter of time things will change.

Too much supposition in your review. You have no reason to claim the woman was a sex worker, or to assume your guest was responsible for fireworks. Motion detectors can’t detect what people are wearing. You should have stuck to the facts.

I did not word it correctly.  I should have said survillence cameras.  The video playback showed him walking over to place the fireworks, lighting it, and the fireworks going off.  Also, the videos show the mini, low cut negligee .  Not appropriate for wearing outside of a home in a family neighborhood.

@Elizabeth10  You can not give an in your opinion in a review. If I were a Case Worker for AIrBnB I would have pulled this also. You made it emotional and personal regarding the guests behavior basically stating he had a prositute at your home this is only your opinion not fact, that's not allowed.

I would imagine paid date is what did it.

I do thank everyone for the feedback.

So now in hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the paid date part, but I clearly said "IF" it was ... .   BUT  guest  can state emotional and person opinons all of the time in reviews. In fact I have several written responses from Airbnb stating how they encourage it when I've tried to dispute a review that was outright falsely deflamatory with the intent to inflect monetary harm.

So is describing that bad behaviour (documented in survelliance footage) in a family neighbor  is emotional?  It  does become emotional and personal when someone blatantly breaks my house rules while also engaging in illegal activity.  This is in the same home where I reside which at one time was the basis of airBnb -- home sharing. So I do expect guests to respect my property and my safety.

Further, this guests's profile photo did not match his face and it still shows a group of 3 people and he is not one of them.  But,  I just learned that that requirement was thrown out the window.  On the home page when they recruit hosts it talks about how they take safety seriously and they are there every step of the way.

I used to overlook alot bad behaviour when I was new to hosting but I finally got it, that if I encourage this disrespect and guest entitlment to do whatever they feel like, I had to put it out there in the reveiws.  I was hoping it will stop the next guest who really doesn't give a **bleep** how he\she behaves in my home a reality check that they will not be getting away with it in future bookings.   However, as the music director at the church where I work says, you can't fix stupid.

So  now he is free to exhibit the same behaviour in someone else's home or maybe worse.

I think when something serious happens and your  safety and personal property is being threatened, you have every right o just kick someone out. Air BnB doesn’t matter at this point. ABB won’t save you. And you can’t worry about reviews. IF something is serious like a possible fire from fireworks.... get rid of guest. Save yourself.

@Elizabeth10

Agree with others that it was too long and detailed - I think you should not have mentioned the negligée or paid date and should have kept it simple like "The guest had a second guest stay but did not pay the additional person fee. He and unauthorized guest broke multiple house rules including smoking on site and using hair dye in the guest bath. Would not welcome this guest back ever - he was very inconsiderate of the fact that my home is in a family neighborhood. Based on my personal experience as a host, he seems better suited to motels."

This still basically says (implies) everything you said in your deleted review. And also agree that the safety of my home and ease of mind is more important than any review or pennies earned from hosting a bad guest - so~ not worth it.

Thank you!
