Would have been out almost 300+ dollars if I had instant book on

So I went through and put in custom prices to meet the demands of different festivals and events that come through my town.

BUT I just got a inquiry that was WAY below what I set my custom pricing too for one of the busiest weekends in the city.

Turns out that if you have the "set pricing to demand/ smart pricing" button on it turns off all your custom pricing and you have to go back through and reset it... and if I would have had instant book on... I would have been out A LOT of money and very angry as the price was FAR from the demand I will be getting for the place as the date gets closer.

So just a heads up... the set price to demand option is very broken and you could be missing out on A LOT of revenue for the work needing to be done if you have instant book on and you're not paying attention.

I do not have Smart Pricing turned on because I think I am smarter about my area than Air BNB is at this time.  I live near Palm Springs, CA USA and there are several very high profile events that happen here.  I look at other similar listings in my area and base my pricing on my investigation.

I have instant book on and it has not been a problem for me except one time when I didn't realize someone would book a year in advance for a big tennis tournament.  I hadn't adjusted my rates that far in advance.  I am now more vigilant about advanced booking.

Thank you I also had the same problem luckily I had checked about the smart pricing, you have to be totally on the ball with air bnb, I just questioned why im being charged almost 20% on a studio apt. I cant find out why. They quoted max 15%.
