Yet another instance where booking settings mean absolutely nothing - bonus this time? Lost revenue.

Guest who just created account, unverified, instant books for tomorrow and AirBnb blocks calendar to allow them "time to verify".

My settings shouldn't allow newly created accounts as I have "Recommendations from other hosts" checked off.

 

My call into support: "We will handle this as soon as possible.Thank you for your patience during this period of high call volume."

Last ticket I had with them? Response time was 2 weeks. 

 

Oh and the kicker is - there's no way to cancel or refuse the booking. No buttons I can push, no ability to accept or deny, nothing.

It's just a stuck in limbo "reservation"...

 

Thanks for destroying any chance I can get a booking from a legitimate guest.

I know ths one, complained on the Dutch community about it:

Accounts in a verification process should not be allowed to book (=blocking calenders).
