any hosts in NYC being asked to provide government photo id for verification?

Apparently I cant continue hosting until I provide license or passport. ANyone else experience this?

@Michelle1178 not just in NYC, you have to provide ID to be able to host anywhere in the world on Airbnb, that is how the platform works.

I certainly would not to be staying with a host who does not put a full face photo of themeselves .....who wants to converse with a pizza?

likewise I welcome that hosts are fully verified with government ID...who wants to stay with someone dodgy?

likewise applicable to potential guests.....good to know who you are inviting into share your home.
