complaint against airbnb

I am getting seriously **bleep** off with airbnb.

Firstly, it is impossible - as far as I can find to contact them directly to lodge my complaint. It is like trying to find your way through a maze. Most user unfriendly. Secondly, my complaint is the number of emails I get all related to one booking. Everything is already done, dusted and confirmed with guests and I still get on average of 4 emails afterwards stating my time to respond is running out etc. etc.  Grrrrrrrrr - I am seriously thinking of cancelling my arrangement with airbnb if only I knew how?

The number does not work and is very expensive from outside the USA. Here in Bucharest, I am absolutely nauseated with AirBnb, complete accomplices of scammers.

I made a reservation in Bucharest for 31 July 2018 for a week. The host just sent me a message telling ”we have to cancel” with nothing else.

There is no way of contacting a physical person from AirBnb, although they make a lot of money out of their site.

What was this host's star rating? How many reviews did they have?

Do you not have a phone? Do you know what Google is?

I'm in America and I had to contact AirBNB to cancel a reservation because of an ice storm we had. I googled their customer service number which is (8 five five) four 2 four-7 2 six two. I had no problem and they didn't even charge me for the cancellation because of my situation. The took care of the problem within minutes.

Thats 855 424 7262 for those of you who use Arabic numbers.

I want part of the world?

I had the worst experience with this people after not being able to enter the house because the owner felt to sleep they wont give me a full refund only a 40% they are scammers and will robbed you as soon as you make ur reservation they take 50% after a week or two they take the remaining from your credit card . You are better going for a hotel u end up paying less and they will not take your money upfront cancelation are really easy 24hrs service.  Stay away from Airbnb they are scammers.

I agree. I had one reservation when I arrived at the location no social distance and no mask were being used in the house due Covid  and I suppose to be in a shared room which I refused, canceled and never received refund. The second reservation, I received an offer from one host which I was not willing to book and when I tried to confirm the proper reservation I confirmed the wrong one, I called bnb and they said even if it was a mistake they will not refund. Reported to BBB but they never replied.

I've never had any issues with contacting them using the Contact link in the Help area. They've always responded quickly.

AirBnB customer service is a complete wreck.  They are unprofessional, they give an endless ran around and never solve anything.  The telephone support does not know anything at all about anything worth dialing the phone for.  There is not way to get in touch with a manager over the phone.  The most their 'managers' do is type a message on the platform but will not speak to you on then phone.  They simply type some ******** and close the case.  Even through the messaging platform they will take days to respond, then reply with "I was out of the office", and close the case within hours!  It's not only bad customer service.  They have no customer service.  Their hosts are getting fed up with them.   Can't wait for a competitor to drive them out of business, as soon as, possible.

YES!! In MAY I had guests that we had to kick out after 2 nights (they booked more) because they kept waking up the whole building in the middle of the night, POLICE were called the second night. When we got there to clean they had stolen $400 of stock, smoked HEAVILY, and it took days to put things right of me running around buying new stock, doing extra work because of the smoking, getting charged by the building owner disturbance fees, it took a total of three days of time, effort, and gas to fix it.

AirBnb help gave us $250 of a $900+ claim and basically laughed at us and gave us no respect at all. They talked down to me saying I should use a professional cleaning service when I myself am a professional cleaner, and I can’t afford, in a pandemic, to hire other cleaners, especially a cleaning company they would charge a ton of money and having BEEN A SUPERVISOR AT ONE I know I don’t trust them to do the job properly. Wtf??

We didn’t even get money for the cancellation policy. We ended up PAYING money for that reservation, and they didn’t bother “”resolving”” the case (it was NO resolution) until this month. May until Sept.

They keep changing their rules on how things work and make it harder and harder for anyone to claim any money except for a straight up receipt. We are SuperHosts and do no claim money easily.

AirBnb sucks.

This.  Exactly this.  Whoever heads the customer service department blatantly needs to be fired, this comes from top down.  I could easily have set up a better call center, and I'm a nobody.

I agree with that - I've had endless hassles and lack of response regarding problems with my Airbnb listing.  They usu reply quickly saying we've forwarded your email to a specialist, and I never hear more than that.  Their customer service seems to be modelled on that of a UK local authoirty in the 1970s
