how can i temporarily freeze my host account?

You can Snooze your account, @Stefania135, by going to Dashboard -> Your Listing -> Calendar and More -> and then down at the bottom left where it says "Listed" click the dropdown and choose "Snoozed". That will take it down, or freeze it, for as long as you set it. Those instructions are for a laptop, desktop or tablet. It will be a little different if you are using a phone, but "Snooze" is the term you are looking for.
