HI I'm new to airbnb and was wondering how do we aussies get paid?

Is it local i.e. from a local bank or is it from an overseas account into our local bank account and is it in USD or AUD?

Not sure what you mean how you get paid.  You select how you want to receive payouts, i.e. direct deposit to a checking account, paypal, etc.  You can select the currency under Manage Listing > Pricing.  I would think most hosts opt to have their payouts in the currency where they live.
