phone message that someone has instant booked

Hi - I have not gone onto instant book, and it has been fine up until today. I had received a message on my phone that a booking had been made etc.

However today someone turned up - I was not aware they had booked as I received no phone message. I went online to Airbnb and found that yes, they were legitimate and had booked.
lucky I happened to be at home

My question is - why did I not receive notification of booking on my phone and how can I ensure I get an alert of a booking in the future

@Linda817 you should probably check how your notifications are set up.

Go to your "Settings" and double-check your notification settings.

In addition to what Matthew suggests, set the app to receive push notifications.
