"Good on Ye Mate!!" 70 plus keeping active outdoors

To all those in the 70 plus age bracket who are keeping active outdoors and carrying on your exercise that we have meet on our walks and travels "Good on ye mate!!", the common sense Kiwi spirit of self wellness lives on.

To those we meet who have been swimming, as that's how you said you keep fit, "Good on you mate!!"

Your parents, and those before them, are the backbone who have lived through really tough times.

We know of communities that have been told they can't even swim in their complexes in case they get too close to each other in their 'self care' approach to life.

Lumping our over 70's in the one blanket worldwide approach based on age is discriminatory in today's day and age as no one has taken into account the four seasons in the day in one world where wherever we live in the world it's different.

Age should not be a barrier as to how one goes one's daily life.

What evidence is WHO taking into account to lump all over 70's as been at risk?

How many people were used in the sample size and from what year was that research undertaken?

What season of the year was it taken in each of those countries?

We have over the years meet people well in their 90's who jump in their car, or walk to get their own groceries without any issues. They have been an inspiration to those of us who are younger.

Leave our over 70's to live out their years how they wish to and in peaceful enjoyment.

Tinkerbelle has much to be answerable for, it's the end of summer coming into autumn in New Zealand where it's not uncommon to see those over 70 and for that matter under 70 swimming in the sea, walking along our beaches as that's how they keep healthy and is their exercise of choice.

Shout out to all seventies ", start a hash tag and spread Kiwi commonsense

"#Good on you mate!!"
