"bob requests that you cancel"

Why does Bob & airbnb want me to cancel his reservation instead of him just cancelling it himself or airbnb cancelling it themselves (as they have done in the recent past without even informing me)?
 
I cancelled and gave a full refund without knowing the ramifications to my superhost status. Did I just lose my superhost?!

@Donald28  @Mary419 The same thing happened to me today.  I got the same email message with a guest requesting that I cancel.  I had never seen this type of email before.  I have a strict cancellation policy and this is CLEARLY Airbnb's sneaky way of getting out of paying us the 25%.  We need a good lawyer or a good reporter to dig into this.

Seriously...... I can't believe Airbnb is STILL pulling this **bleep** with the sneaky wording.

Completely unethical.... and IMO bordering on fraud.

@Jessica-and-Henry0  Sneaky wording is about the only thing that Airbnb is consistently really, really good at. 

So much for Chesky's apologies and BS about how much he cares about hosts. I'm finding him more and more despicable.
