Such a real shame @Lizzie and others including @Susan17  and all the others based in Ireland that this year of 2020 that St Patrick's Day will not be celebrated in the manner we are so accustomed to.

May we all think of Saint Patrick and remember what life was like for him and those before us.

Take Care folks.

Have a glass of Guineas, or a glass of Irish whiskey etc as it's Great for one's health.

May we all unite and wear something Green today.

Does anyone know why the colour Green is significant for St Patricks day?

Thanks @Lizzie and @Helen427 ! :))

St Patrick's Day won't be happening this year unfortunately, and with most Irish hosts having their calendars wiped clean on what's usually the busiest week of the year (and for the foreseeable future), and many left with zero income to pay bills, rent and mortgages due to Airbnb's despicable and reprehensible application of the Extenuating Circumstances policy, we really don't have anything to celebrate right now. We're too busy trying to figure out how the hell we're going to survive the coming months - the same as our fellow hosts around the world.

Paddy's Day is not until tomorrow, btw.

Saint Patrick Statue 1500 year anniversary in 1938

Places named after Saint Patrick, is there one named where you live?

https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/WSTAR19120322.2.11?

Maybe when things settle down with Coronavirus/ Covid19 a tour of the places named after Saint Patrick by the Patrick's in society and ABB Community would be a fun way to bring some joy back into people's lives.

**

and all the other @Patrick's who are members of the ABB CC perhaps you can make plans to share a common goal of meeting up and traveling around Ireland 12 months from now for St Patrick's Day

Maybe if you were told to go home without pay for one month effective today because of Covid-19. though you. your office, your domestic area, may not be that badly affected, but because of an Extenuating Circumstance policy, you had to do it....

May you have a Happy St Patrick's day indeed, with a clear conscience.

@Tat1009  Please be mindful of the fact @Lizzie commenced this topic in 2016.

I was trying to bring some linkages to us all worldwide for St Patrick's Day & appreciate the impacts of C19 / Coronavirus on us all.

May we all take some time out from our current issues & reflect on the life & times of Saint Patrick in an era none of us will ever experience as St Patrick & those in his era did.

Life could be a lot worse for all of us.
