See you soon!

Hello everyone!

I hope you're well.

I thought I'd let you know that I will be going on holidays for about 2 weeks (please don't hate me) :-). I will be visiting Iceland for one week and then I will be back in the office for 2 days just to fly to Norway afterwards! I'll be going around for a road trip and will be doing some camping in Iceland. Once I'm in Norway I will be using Airbnb so I look forward to meeting new hosts.

Feel free to share any tips!

I will update you on this thread and share some photo's once I'm back again!

If you are coming to Bergen, please pm me.

@Quincy

An island that is reflected in the ice, admirably alone in the high Atlantic.

There are no luxuries, it's all very humble, people not very exhibitionist, but practical persons, even if they still believe in fairies and elves (and many claim to have seen them).

A strange language full of “K” words.

One real city, among considerable stretches of emptiness.

An uninhabited paradise.

Natural outdoor pools, hot springs everywhere with mineral waters and slippery silica, surrounded by black lava rocks.

A dive without  swimsuit: the feeling of real heat and true cold.

Ice caps, monsters and herds of reindeer, glorious underground volcanoes, fields of sulfurous lava, spectacular fjords, deserted beaches of black sand.

The color palette is immeasurable.

There’s a strong magnetic field: the compass would go haywire.

Inebriating solitude.

Rain, sun, wind.

Here nothing is ordinary…common…there’s no compromise between man and nature, mother and stepmother, creator and destroyer.

Very few trees, only essential lines.

Here the measuring stick is the infinite.

Hello @Emily352 @Miloud0 @Marit-Anne0,

I just want to let you know that I have returned to the office now :-).

Thank you so much for your holiday wishes it has been a great 2 weeks!

@Marit-Anne0, Norway was beautiful! I did stop by in Bergen for about 2 hours to visit the seafood market and then carried on to Flåm as we had to check in at our accommodation on a specific time. I hope we can meet the next time!

@Emily352, everything was exactly like you said! Iceland felt like a completely different world.
