Missing Payouts!

Missing Payouts!

I have been waiting to receive my payouts since December 25th, 2022, it is now January 12th! It is now over $11,000 in payouts and I’ve been messaging and calling AirBnB every single day and nobody can explain what the problem is. The only thing I’m being told is that the matter has been escalated to their “specialised team”. There is no indication as to when I will receive my payouts nor what the problem is. This is not good enough! AirBnB needs to do better. The least they can do is have someone contact me to explain what the issue is and how they’re working to resolve it. I need a resolution!

I don't really know what to suggest, but if you search this forum, you will find many, many recent posts from hosts experiencing the same. It seems to be a very large problem at Airbnb right now.

It can only make me speculate that they are in financial difficulty. Although they reported the 'best quarter ever', their stock price has plummeted in the past year.

Oh wow. I really hope this isn’t the case. I have just reached out again and have been given the same response “your ticket has been escalated and someone from the specialised team will reach out shortly” I don’t even know what to do at this point

I am crossing my fingers for you. I would be going out of my mind if Airbnb owed me that amount. However, judging by the frequency of posts on this subject, I guess it's probably just a matter of time before I am in the same boat.

It's gotten beyond ridiculous at this point. Only today, after I posted here, on their instagram as well as their Facebook pages, has someone actually reached out to me. They have been asking me for one document after the next allll day long and I have been providing them with everything they ask. Everytime they ask me for a new document, the message "Please provide this information as soon as possible to avoid your payouts being paused" This seems like a stalling tactic at this point. Let's see what happens....

No, it doesn't make sense at all and I agree that they are probably stalling. I mean, they have already paused your payouts... and now saying you have to respond quickly to prevent that? After leaving you hanging for so long? SMH.

When you have previously been paid @Peter-Che0  has it been with Payoneer?

They have been in Courts of Laws in recent times due to a number of reasons and been sanctioned.

@Huma0

I had the same issue in October! it was all fixed and finally got some payouts. Then mid-November no payout until now!!

(More than 20,000USD) and I keep on hosting guests. I hosted about 10 guests since November. Not much, but for a small structure like mine it's big.  I asked my staff to work for nothing since Christmas. Still no answer from Airbnb. They said they will investigate and revert but nothing yet!!

What should i do cancel all the upcoming booking? throw my current guest out? Stop working with AirBnB.

 Am desperate!!

@Huma0

Lets hope not, Recently I do watch my payments reading to many post here getting me paranoid,

We have a payment due to be released today

What is also worrying is the lack of communication, lets say with me if they need something or information tell me I will deal with it right away I have everything on hand here the computer is on from early morning and all day.

I think what is escalating the problem is the host keeps accepting the guest in the hope of getting paid, the amount goes up everyday,

The Host is living in Hope,

same bloody excuses they are telling all the host whom payouts been on hold...

how long will we wait? until we no longer can afford to maintain our airbnb property?

they dont have the heart for us hosts

@Mia1190

I agree,  I've been receiving the same lame excuse " a specialized team is looking into it" , until when?

Hello Huma,

Well that's a funny coincidence because only this morning I was saying the same thing on the French CC as this problem of non payment is coming up very frequently all of a sudden and it does make me wonder if there is a problem with Airbnb's finances.  So it seems to be a general problem not just isolated to the English speaking community but it is worrying and I'm really sorry for those concerned especially as they aren't getting the issue resolved quickly and meanwhile they are out of pocket but have offered the service.

This new Winter release couldn't have come cheap and it wouldn't be so bad if hosts were saying that their reservations had never been better but it seems to be the complete opposite.

All the best

Joëlle

That's interesting to hear. As long as I have been reading this forum (since 2016), there have been posts about non payment, but I have never ever seen this number/frequency before. Lately it seems that one out of three posts are about not being paid...

Hi @Peter-Che0 @Huma0

See my other reply today to @Peter3

KPi'S /Bonus Payments and contracts with 3rd parties may also be a factor for dragging of heels sorting these matters out.

Hey @Peter-Che0 , I can imagine it's more than frustrating for you to be in this situation. I've sent it over to the team now to give them a little push from our side as well. They'll be in touch with you and hopefully we can get this resolved for you quickly!
