Filter (the icons)

Hi,

Listed my cabin as a "House" and "cabin". It shows fine in search.

When choosing the "cabin" filter-icon my listing dissapear from the search. This is the from the list of filter icons under the dates and over the pictures of the listings.

Anybody know where I set this up so my cabin will be shown when searching for a cabin?

You probably refer to "catagories" ?

Yes, you are referring to "categories".

They are only assigned by Airbnb AI (Artificial Intelligence), based on text/photos in a listing. Your listing seems not to be recognized by AI as specifically a "cabin".

Airbnb announced updates soon, so maybe (?) after that you have an option to complain about the categories you are in (or not):

Thanx for a good explanation. When talking to Air BNB support the did not know what I was talking about. Personally I think this AI function only makes it harder both for guests and host. Guest can miss out on properties and hosts can miss out on guests....

Summed up the problem very well!! 

Airbnb could do with a little more american pride (they do love to name drop their hometown a lot), and bring their CS back on home soil, instead of outsourcing to cheap, unskilled labor.  SF has a huge homeless problem, perhaps they could start a CS company there that employs and helps people ?  It's only going to get worse if they don't rip off the bandaid and fix this problem, and why not earn some PR points at the same time? Ask Gov Newsom for some kind of grant, socialists love to hand out money!
