I just had a guest book same day a one night stay and never show up. They didn't message me to let me know they wouldn't be checking in and I thought it was odd.
Then a day later I see they wrote a review (hasn't posted yet so I have no idea what they even wrote). If a guest books but their plans change they usually let me know and I don't review them since they didn't stay and I often don't have enough info to write a genuine review.
The following day (today) they messaged me asking to review them not even mentioning anything about not showing up. The user has been on Airbnb for 7mos and has no reviews so I'm thinking maybe they want to build some reviews? In all honesty, I don't have much positive to say because they were a no show and didn't let me know.
I'm torn between a couple options and wanted to see what folks in similar situations have done.
- Be honest and let them know that I cant give a positive review for communication since they booked and never showed.
- Take a nicer approach and let them know I don't feel comfortable writing a review when they didn't stay.
Very open to other suggestions on responses.
