In order to get a refund, because Marnie was upset that I was not from her country, Shaylyeen, her daughter who booked the reservation, lied to Airbnb and made up a false story about no air-conditioning, but forgot that she had already admitted, in the Airbnb chat, to her mother’s violent verbal attack on me.
Despite the guest’s behavior, I remained calm, at the same time, called Airbnb, via speakerphone, to let the Airbnb rep hear and record the screaming.
After being assured by the Airbnb rep on 8/29/25 that the false review would be taken down, Airbnb refused to delete it, even though the reps know the guest lied just to get a refund.
After repeated request for the removal of the false 1 star review, I was told by Airbnb rep, Amin, that he would not help me any further.
I have provided photos of my central air-conditioning, ceiling and floor fans and never had a complaint as a Super host in my 20 plus years of hosting to around the globe.
I do not know why Airbnb allows guest to lie on hardworking and honest hosts who only have given an above board experience to their guest.
The guest’s Bad behavior was captured and admitted to, with an apology, in the Airbnb chat on 8/29/25, after the guest verbally attacked me twice, for no reason.
The guest is the one who canceled her reservation, after the Airbnb rep heard her screaming at me, for no reason, on 8/29/25, via speakerphone, for no reason.
I have never had a complaint of this nature and have now 3 times provided proof that I do indeed have central air-conditioning, ceiling and floor fans. The central air-conditioning had already been on before the guest arrived, although it was very cool the evening of the 29th when she arrived.
The guest also never mentioned asthma until after she asked for a refund.
Thanks for removing the retaliatory, false and bias review.

I have never had a complaint of this nature before and as you can see from my previous reviews, I take excellent care of my guests.

I'm so sorry you had this awful experience.
there are now hundreds of similar complaints from other hosts about Airbnbs refusal to take down retaliations reviews since Airbnb introduced AI to manage appeals for reviews to be removed.
Personally a mismatch in guest expectations and problem guests is one of the reasons I don't accept third party bookings (which are against Airbnb's T&Cs) .
can I ask why you chose not to leave an honest review about the daughter who booked to help warn your fellow hosts.

I have just had similar problem of false 1 star review , Airbnb won't take down
there Ai system does not look after hosts.
Sadly this is the first time we have had to evict a booking. Airbnb worked with us to protect our property and cancel the reservation after the guest broke two house rules. The booking was for two guests and thirteen men arrived. When questioned they informed us they were here for a party. Our property has a strict no party policy. Once questioned the guest agreed to leave.
A retaliatory 1 star review was posted which will effect our Superhost status in future, Airbnb refuse to remove, with no right of reply, very disappointed.

I am truly sorry, this is awful.
I don't ask this to critique, but because I did this by mistake once and yuck.
When the Guest is requesting to cancel, Airbnb sends the Host the Cancellation Request to approve or deny.
Like you , I don't get a lot of Cancellation Requests and I just wanted my misery to end, I approved.
Sadly, I got burnt simalarly, finally after lots of nagging, I was told the Cancellation Request has a Reason for Request, which Approval of Cancellation Request was Approval of Cancellation Reason.
If you Host Approved Guest Cancellation Request with Cancellation Reason No Air conditioning. You have to fight the Approved Cancellation Request, I didn't and just learned from my error.

I didn't approve anything because it came from the guest because she didn't like the fact that I was not from her country, yet she lied and said there was no Air-conditioning as advertised, even though I have never had a complaint, and, even though I provided photographic proof and had other guests staying in the same property at the same time.
I'm also sorry for your bad experience, too.
We have to stick together and be persistent. We generate billions of dollars 💸 for Airbnb, so, we should be treated much better, especially when Airbnb knowsthe guests are lying.
