What are other hosts seeing regarding this sudden URGENT message that simultaneously locks your hosting calendar? Popped up on my account today, following a superhost notice.
There was no prior email explaining what was going to be requested and why.
We thought it was a scam and collection of unnecessary information.
Has anyone else seen these messages asking for Citizenship, Country of Birth, etc?

Just a guess, but Airbnb has been asking Hosts to re-verify their identities and if you don't, you calendar will be blocked until you do. You should have seen this warning on the traveling side of your profile.
That said, I would contact Airbnb yourself and ask about the email before clicking any links:
