Advice on booking request

Hi there, I have someone trying to book with me, but they have no previous stays, no information on their profile whatsoever except a name, and have said that they are booking for a party of 3 or 4 people (their message is unclear to me)but have put the request in for 1 person only. Please see their message below:

Hi Teryl 👋 My daughter is turning 30 years old and she wanted to celebrate with a weekend away on the island, so my mother, her partner and i and will be there with her visiting the sites and relaxing 😌 we all work very hard and live a sober life style so this is what we all need and some good food.....thank you ❤️

my question is, would you accept this booking? And if not, what would you say to the person? Thanks!

I would ask if they are new to Airbnb as their profile shows no previous stays and they have not added any information to their profile? I would ask where they are traveling from and what activities and destinations they are interested in as you are happy to provide recommendations.

I would also ask them to update their profile and withdraw the original booking request and submit a new one with the correct number of guests. If they have never booked an Airbnb before I would ask them to please review the entire listing and House Rules to see if your place is a good fit.

Based on how they respond, you can decide if you want to accept the booking.

To add to @Joan2709 s useful advice . Don't forget if you agree to the booking to ask the guest to submit a booking request for the numbers staying .

Make sure your house rules say only guests on the booking are allowed at the property.  @Teryl5
