My property is booked next Monday and my property is on the other side of a ford/barranc (normally dry until there's excessive rain) we've had an unusual amount of rain and the ford is flowing, meaning that it is only passable with a 4x4 vehicle.
My question is: should I warn my clients now or wait until nearer Monday? The water level drops very quickly once the rain stops, but I'm in a dilemma as it's still raining.
@Mike-And-Jane0 Thanks for your support. This is the first time it's happened and only rarely occurs (every 20 years or so) I will put it on the listing info for future bookings, I prefer to be up front. I'm checking the weather for the next few days and I've got my fingers crossed. Thanks again!
@Carol881 I would definitely message the guests to let them know the situation and that it may or may not be an issue, that you will keep them informed. Maybe they have a 4x4, and therefore you don't need to stress about it.
I assume you have a 4x4? if so, is there somewhere they could safely leave their vehicle on the other side and you go pick them up if it's still an issue?
@Sarah977 Thanks for your support, I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my question. I am going to contact the guests tomorrow, taking into account the weather forecast in the morning.
