AirBnb no longer displays booking costs paid by Guests

AirBnb no longer displays booking costs paid by Guests

Anyone else noticed this change in the past few months?

I'm in Australia and have AirBnb correspondence from Dec 2025 that displays Guest charges with full disbursements. But this is no longer the case.

AirBnb advised this change is due to "privacy policy"; not sure what's private about what Guests pay to AirBnb when their fee & charges are supposedly fully document and made public.

Its  important to me, as a Host, to understand the costs that Guests actually pay, as this is a key factor in setting our pricing levels. Being mindful of what a Guest is actually paying in very important. Also, we need to understand what Guests are paying so can be compete on price with other Hosts.; this has been made more difficult than needs be.

I used to love the sense of transparency that AirBnb provided to Hosts. Is this just an Australian thing or are others experiencing the same ?

Please share your thoughts !!

Thanks, Richard

Hi @Richard3335

One can still see the total "Guest paid" on a confirmed booking. I think you're referring to guest totals for unbooked nights, right?

Hi Shelley, I'm referring to knowing how much the Guest paid for any given booking.

Using the browser-based desktop interface, I can no longer see any details of what a Guest paid for a booking. Previously, the platform used to display a disbursed list of all cost components that the Guest paid for. These components were also displayed totaled as well.

If you believe this is possible, could you please list the exact steps you took to do this. If you could include an obfuscated screen snippet that would be really usefule.

FWIW, I have already had long voice and digital discussions with AirBnb Support who have confirmed this capability / feature is no longer possible. The reasons they gave were for "privacy policy limitations", presumably they meant for Guest-related privacy. AirBnb Support also confirmed (in writing) that this change has caused a lot of angst in the Host community, and they were propagating feedback up the chain to key business managers.

Thanks, Richard

Hi @Richard3335

Here's what I can see on my bookings.

Are your bookings now showing only the Host Payout section?

Hi @Shelley159 , that's what I used to see on all confirmed bookings. I can no longer see this for any confirmed booking - be it historical or upcoming..

I assume you are using he Desktop application ? Would you mind outlining the steps you used to display those  details, as the AirBnb platform differs from country to country.

Thanks, Richard

Mine shows the same on the desktop and the app @Richard3335 - it's just on the regular reservation. So no special steps, access the booking from any angle. You could, for example, click a booking on the calendar so the details come up and just scroll down on it.

Sometimes when information goes missing, logging out of all devices and clearing cache solves the issue. But we can also check if it's a regional problem by asking @Frances3408 in Australia whether she can still see the Guest Total on her booking details?

@Shelley159 I tried this on multiple browsers, no luck. However, I have managed to find a path that does show the Guest payment details, see below:

When I click on "Today" at top of screen and then click on "Upcoming" button and click on any upcoming bookings, I do not see Guest Payment details.

When I click on "Today" at top of screen and then click on "Today" button it says "you don't have any reservations". But at the bottom of the screen there is a link that says "Show all reservations". When I click on that, it allows me to list all Upcoming, Completed and Cancelled reservations. Clicking on "Details" button for any reservation listed here  gives me the complete details including Guest Payout details !!

But note, I can see no other Menu option or link anywhere that takes me to this "Reservations" page. I was lucky to see the "Show all reservations" link only because I don't have any bookings today.

So how does one navigate to this "Show all reservations" link reliably in all scenarios ? By the way, the URL for this "Reservaitons" page is https://www.airbnb.com.au/hosting/reservations so that is about the only way I can navigate to the page consistently.

Can you see a better way to display all the reservations ? Does your desktop / browser app work like I have described above ?

Yes @Richard3335 I can follow what you described - that's also the way I navigate to all reservations (although it's not necessary for me to do so for the Guest Paid totals, as I can also see those on the individual reservations from the calendar or messages tabs).

Glad you've found a way to see the totals again!

This no longer works. and as a property manager I think this is ridiculous we can’t see what the guest is paying total for a stay. My clients want to know why we charge what we charge and without this info I can no longer provide this to my clients

@Richard3335 . @Shelley159 Yes, they changed this layout here a while ago (and no I dont think we were told). If I go to Calendar and click on a reservation it only shows guest total, no break down. I need to click on Show All Reservation link as you have found to get not only the detail, but the ability to download reports in multiple formats including .csv files.

OR go to Menu, Earnings and find information pre prepared for you, with break down but its only available in PDF format.

I have a feeling at one stage when they first changed the Today page this link wasnt provided either so I suspect they have put the info access back in, but I have given up trying to track these changes all the time.

Hope this helps 🙂

I'm Italian and  I've the same problem: only partial information on bookings ( the new ones and past bookings ).
Some days ago I had all information about guests stays as total price paid from tourists, tourist taxes but now these details and these information has disappeared

@Richard3335

Yup...its a mess.

We need the Guest Paid Information for tax reporting/tracking and other reasons. It was perfectly fine the way it was.

This is ridiculous how can Airbnb hide this from us? We should be able to know the taxes they remit and Airbnb fees the guest is paying. This total is also important on how property managers adjust prices and explain to clients what guests actually pay. The work around below does not work for me in the states.

Hi @Richard3217

I see you're not in Australia like the other two hosts. If you look at my screenshot above, how does that part of your Reservation look different? Do you only see the "Host payout" section, and what is now directly above it?
